Arizona has a lottery-style draw system, you will need to ensure you apply for the species you want to hunt before the deadline listed below (please note that applications typically open a few weeks before the deadline, we recommend checking azgfd.gov's big game draw page frequently in the time leading up to the application deadline to ensure you apply in time!)

In order to apply for a species you will also need a valid Arizona hunting license that will still be valid through your hunt. During the hunt application process you will be given the option to purchase one. Please print it out and keep a physical copy with you as an online copy may not be able to be retrieved on the side of a hill in the desert!
IMPORTANT: Keep your credit card payment current. If your payment is declined at the time of the draw, your application will not be drawn.
License & Over The Counter tags are available for purchase from all AZGFD offices and more than 200 licensed dealers statewide. All licenses are valid for 365 days from date of purchase.
Non-Residents can only purchase OTC tags for deer online at http://otcarcherydeer.azgfd.gov/
